THE  MINISTER  OF  THE  INTERIOR  SUPERVISES  THE  DISPATCH  OF  A  MILITARY  PLANE CARRYING THE  INTERNATIONALLY CLASSIFIED CIVIL PROTECTION TEAM TUN  01 12 SEPTEMBER 2023

Pursuant to the instructions of the President of the Republic of Tunisia to send urgent aid to Libya following the devastating floods that occurred on the morning of September 10, 2023, and resulted in massive human and material losses.

The Minister of the Interior supervised the dispatch of a military plane carrying the internationally classified civil protection team TUN01 specialized in search and rescue, consisting of approximately 52 officer and agent from the Civil Protection Special Unit, 4 canines, a civil protection medical crew consisting of 3 doctors, a water suction team equipped with high-level water pumps, and a diving team.

Thursday, September 21, 2023, Mr. Abdel Samad Benjdou, Director General of the National Office of Civil Protection, supervised the reception of the military plane coming from Libya, which was carrying the civil protection team specialized in search and rescue from under the rubble and assigned to the rescue mission in the Libyan city of Derna.
