The Republic of Sudan, through the National Council of Civil Defense (Ministry of Interior), reported the organization of activities to mark World Civil Defence Day 2026, observed under the theme “Managing Environmental Risks for a Resilient and Sustainable Future.”

According to the official communication addressed to the ICDO, World Civil Defence Day was marked through a set of events and outreach actions, with activities carried out in a number of states. A central ceremony was held in Khartoum on 4 March 2026, hosted by the General Secretariat of the National Council of Civil Defense, with the participation of relevant national institutions and representatives from Khartoum State.

In addition to the official event, the National Council of Civil Defense emphasized public awareness efforts, including educational activities conducted in primary schools and broader information outreach. The communication also noted that awareness materials were disseminated through various formats to support public understanding of civil defense and environmental risk management.
