The Seventh Meeting of the Committee of Heads of Educational Institutions ICDO members states

The 7th meeting of the ICDO (International Civil Defence Organization) Scientific and Educational Committee was held with the aim of strengthening collaboration in scientific research and educational programs related to civil defense and emergency situations. The event brought together leading experts and representatives of educational and research centers that are part of the ICDO structure.

One of the key topics discussed was the need to enhance scientific and technical cooperation and develop modern educational programs that would enable member states to effectively prepare for global risks and emergencies.

During the meeting, a new member, the Disaster Risk Reduction and Emergency Response Center, was welcomed into the Committee. This important event reflects the growing interest of international organizations in cooperation in the field of civil defense and in building capacities for effective crisis response.

The ICDO Scientific and Educational Committee put forward the following recommendations:

  • Increase the involvement of specialists from the ICDO Scientific and Educational Committee in the committee’s activities, including clarifying their requirements and functional capabilities.
  • When organizing courses, pay attention to grouping participants based on their language proficiency levels.
  • Plan the publication of the 3rd issue of ICDO REVUE.
  • Develop a design for the ICDO Scientific and Educational Committee’s website and provide proposals for the technical implementation of the office project (platform solutions and functionality).

These initiatives aim to improve educational programs, enhance specialist engagement, and further develop scientific activities in civil defense at the international level.
