In accordance with the annual training plan for the year 2024 an international training course has been scheduled for the year 2024 in Niger for the 8th graduating class of undergraduate students from 8 ICDO member countries.

The training «Smart Surveillance Technology: Risk Monitoring and Disaster Tracking» was held in Niamey (Republic of Niger) in the National school of Civil Protection the Republic of Niger from February 26 to March 8th, 2024.

 

This intensive program was designed to empower local authorities, emergency responders, and relevant stakeholders with the knowledge and skills required to leverage smart surveillance technologies for enhanced risk monitoring and effective disaster management.

The training, conducted by Sergei Ledentsov, representative of the ICDO Permanent Secretariat, was attended by representatives of the following countries: Burundi, Congo, Côte d'Ivoire, Guinea, Mali, Niger, Senegal, and Togo.
