A delegation from the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation, headed by Deputy Minister Mr. R.V. Kurynin, visited the Permanent Secretariat of the International Civil Defence Organization (ICDO).

The Acting Secretary-General of ICDO Mr. Lapin R. and Deputy Minister Mr. Kurynin R. held discussions on a range of issues related to the development of bilateral cooperation, with particular attention to organizing joint international training programs and exchanging best practices in civil defence, disaster response, and fire safety. During the meeting, the International Monitoring and Coordination Center was also presented to the Russian side.

Both parties emphasized the importance of practical mechanisms for professional exchange, capacity building, and strengthening preparedness for emergencies. ICDO and the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation reaffirmed their mutual commitment to advancing cooperation in the interests of all member states.
