A delegation from the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus, headed by Deputy Minister, Major General of the Internal Service Sergey Adamovich Salanovich, visited the Permanent Secretariat of the International Civil Defence Organization (ICDO).

During the meeting, the Acting Secretary-General of ICDO congratulated the Belarusian colleagues on the Republic of Belarus joining the Organization. The parties held in-depth discussions on prospects for bilateral cooperation, with a particular focus on the organization of joint international training courses and the exchange of best practices in civil defence and firefighting.

Both sides emphasized the importance of strengthening interaction in key areas such as fire safety, disaster response, and emergency preparedness. The ICDO and the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Belarus expressed their commitment to developing practical mechanisms for professional exchange and building capacity in the interests of member states.
