On July 10, an extraordinary session of the General Assembly of the International Civil Defence Organization (ICDO) was held in Baku, Republic of Azerbaijan, with the main agenda item being the election of the Secretary-General.
Following the voting, Mr. Arguj Kalantarli, the candidate from the Republic of Azerbaijan, was elected Secretary-General by an absolute majority of votes.
