From August 15 to 27 of current year, the XII International Mountain Training was successfully held in the picturesque region of Cholpon-Ata, Issyk-Kul, bringing together rescue professionals and specialists from various member states of the International Civil Defence Organization (ICDO). The training was jointly organized by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic in close cooperation with the ICDO.

Over the course of 12 intensive days, participants engaged in a comprehensive program combining theoretical sessions and hands-on practical exercises tailored to high-altitude and mountainous terrain. The training covered a wide range of key topics, including advanced mountain rescue techniques, rope systems, first aid in extreme conditions, evacuation procedures, and coordination in multinational operations.

This initiative provided a valuable platform for knowledge-sharing and the exchange of best practices among rescue personnel operating in different geographical and operational contexts. Emphasis was placed on enhancing interoperability, building mutual trust, and fostering a spirit of cooperation among ICDO member countries.

The ICDO and the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic reaffirmed their commitment to supporting capacity-building initiatives and promoting solidarity among civil defence and rescue services globally. The XII International Mountain Training once again demonstrated the critical importance of international cooperation in building resilient and effective emergency response systems.
