At the Russian-Armenian Centre of Humanitarian Response (RACHR), the training program “Conducting Emergency Rescue Operations in Rubble, Collapsed Buildings and Structures” was successfully completed with the participation of delegates from ICDO member states: Algeria, Armenia, Kuwait, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, and Syria.
Over the course of two weeks, 12 rescuers, under the guidance of Centre instructors, completed theoretical studies and two major practical modules. The first week focused on working with specialized hydraulic, pneumatic, and hydrodynamic tools in the clearance of natural and man-made debris.
During the second week, participants studied the principles and methods of moving oversized loads using improvised means and mountaineering equipment while adhering to all necessary safety measures. This module also included sessions with crane installation.
At the conclusion of each module, participants took practical examinations, held at night on the grounds of RACHR’s universal training complex. Upon successful completion, all international rescuers were awarded personalized certificates
