On October 1, 2025, the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Periodic Changes in Automotive Structures: Rescue Challenges” opened at the conference hall of the Academy of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

 

The forum gathers representatives of the International Civil Defence Organization (ICDO), the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan, as well as research centers and specialized universities from Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Egypt, Jordan, and Algeria.

 

Welcome addresses were delivered by the Secretary-General of ICDO, Mr. Arguj Kalantarli, and the Minister of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Kamaladdin Heydarov.

 

Key topics discussed at the conference include:

 

the evolution of modern automotive design and structures;

 

specific challenges of rescue operations involving electric and hybrid vehicles;

 

fire safety of lithium-ion batteries;

 

the use of drones and robotic systems in firefighting;

 

international experience in responding to emergencies involving electric transport.

 

 

The program features plenary sessions, video demonstrations, practical exercises, and presentations of modern training methods for specialists.
