A delegation of the International Civil Defence Organization (ICDO), headed by Secretary-General Mr. Arguj Kalantarli, paid an official visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The visit was carried out at the invitation of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan and took place in the framework of events marking the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Ministry. On this occasion, the ICDO Secretary-General Arguj Kalantarli conveyed his congratulations and highlighted the importance of the Organization’s cooperation with its Member States and their relevant authorities, noting the value of further strengthening these relations.

Within the framework of the anniversary events, the ICDO participated in the official ceremonies, including the honorary parade and the official luncheon.

During the visit, Mr. Kamaladdin Heydarov, Minister of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, was awarded the ICDO Commander Order in recognition of his contribution to the development of civil defence and international cooperation.

On the sidelines of the event, meetings were also held with representatives of several foreign states participating as guests, during which views were exchanged on issues of mutual interest.
