Within the framework of his official visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Secretary-General of the International Civil Defence Organization (ICDO), Mr. Arguj Kalantarli, met with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan, H.E. Mr. Ali Asadov.

During the meeting, the parties highlighted the longstanding and constructive partnership between the ICDO and the Republic of Azerbaijan. The Secretary-General expressed his appreciation for Azerbaijan’s continued support of the Organization and its strong commitment to international cooperation, noting the country’s experience in the fields of civil defence and emergency management. He also briefed the Prime Minister on the ICDO’s ongoing institutional reforms, efforts to expand membership, and planned humanitarian initiatives.

Prime Minister Ali Asadov reaffirmed Azerbaijan’s commitment to cooperation with the ICDO, underscored the importance Azerbaijan attaches to further strengthening relations with the Organization, and exchanged views with the Secretary-General on issues of mutual interest related to the future development of cooperation.
