Within the framework of his official visit to Malaysia, the Secretary-General of the International Civil Defence Organization (ICDO), Mr. Arguj Kalantarli, met with the Prime Minister of Malaysia, H.E. Mr. Anwar bin Ibrahim, on 17 January.

The meeting included an exchange of views on matters of mutual interest, with a focus on strengthening cooperation between the ICDO and Malaysia. The Secretary-General highlighted Malaysia’s important role and experience, underlining the country’s status as a reliable and valued partner of the ICDO.

The discussions also reaffirmed both sides’ shared commitment to expanding institutional engagement and advancing practical cooperation, with a view to further developing ICDO–Malaysia relations in a positive, constructive, and forward-looking manner.
