Within the framework of his official visit to the State of Qatar, the Secretary-General of the International Civil Defence Organization (ICDO), Mr. Arguj Kalantarli, met with the Minister of State for International Cooperation, H.E. Dr. Mariam bint Ali bin Nasser Al-Misnad, on 29 January.

The meeting provided an opportunity to review the current state of ICDO-Qatar relations, discuss avenues for strengthening cooperation, and explore prospects for its further development. In this regard, the long-standing partnership between the State of Qatar and the ICDO was highlighted, as well as Qatar’s consistent engagement as a reliable and committed Member State of the Organization.

The discussions also emphasized the State of Qatar’s continued support for humanitarian operations and its constructive role in international humanitarian assistance initiatives. In this context, the parties reviewed ICDO’s current priorities and activities carried out within the framework of its humanitarian mandate, including ongoing humanitarian projects, and exchanged views on potential areas of cooperation within these initiatives.

The meeting further addressed other issues of mutual interest and concluded with an expression of confidence in the continued development and strengthening of cooperation.
