In Kazakhstan, activities dedicated to World Civil Defence Day 2026 continued throughout March under the theme “Managing Environmental Risks for a Resilient and Sustainable Future.” According to the information released by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a nationwide civil defence month was held to strengthen public preparedness for emergencies.
During this period, emergency services units, together with local authorities, organized a broad range of educational and preventive activities in schools, enterprises, and residential areas. These included open lessons, children’s drawing competitions, thematic meetings, practical training sessions, evacuation drills, and equipment exhibitions.
The campaign placed particular emphasis on safety rules and response procedures in the event of fires, earthquakes, floods, and other emergencies. Citizens were also introduced to the work of emergency services, as well as specialized rescue equipment and vehicles.
According to the published results, more than 43,000 activities were conducted across the country, reaching over 2.5 million people. The reported activities included exercises, lectures, competitions, interactive sessions, door-to-door outreach, and public awareness campaigns.
