ICDO Secretary-General Holds Online Meeting with the Deputy Director General of Civil Protection of the Republic of Guinea

The Secretary-General of the International Civil Defence Organization (ICDO), Mr. Arguj Kalantarli, held an online meeting with Colonel Mohamed Lamine Diakite, Deputy Director General of Civil Protection of the Republic of Guinea. The meeting reaffirmed the commitment of both sides to further strengthening cooperation in the field of civil protection and disaster risk management.

During the meeting, the Secretary-General provided an update on the ICDO's current activities, ongoing institutional reform process, and preparations for the Organization's forthcoming sessions. The discussions also focused on enhancing cooperation among Member States and expanding practical collaboration in the field of civil protection.

The two sides exchanged views on increasing Guinea's participation in ICDO training programmes, promoting capacity-building activities, and strengthening the exchange of expertise and best practices to enhance preparedness and response capacities.

Colonel Mohamed Lamine Diakite reaffirmed Guinea's commitment to supporting the ICDO and expressed his appreciation for the Organization's continued efforts to strengthen international cooperation in civil protection.

The meeting concluded with both sides reaffirming their shared commitment to maintaining close cooperation and coordination in support of the ICDO's objectives and future initiatives.
