Traditionally, on March 1, representatives of the delegations of ICDO member countries and UN ambassadors in Geneva gathered for a gala dinner to celebrate International Civil Defense Day and discuss the activities of the organization. ICDO Secretary General Mariato Yap, in the official part of the reception, introduced the guests to the theme of 2022: “Civil defense and work with displaced people in disasters and crises; the role of volunteers and the fight against pandemics”, calling on all national players to focus on volunteering in their countries.
