Today, the Secretary-General of the International Civil Defence Organization (ICDO), Mr. Arguj Kalantarli met with the Mr. Salomon Eheth, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Cameroon to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Geneva, at the headquarters of the ICDO.

The meeting served as a platform for a constructive exchange of views in a constructive exchange of views on matters of mutual interest, including the enhancement of cooperation between the Republic of Cameroon and the ICDO. 

The discussions particularly focused on strengthening cooperation and knowledge sharing in key areas such as emergency preparedness and response, capacity building, disaster risk management, and civil protection. Both sides expressed their readiness to foster closer collaboration to support national and international efforts aimed at building resilience and safety in the face of natural and man-made disasters.

The meeting concluded with a mutual recognition of the importance of continued dialogue and enhanced cooperation.
