From September 8 to 16, 2019, in Saratov, Russia, took place the XV World Championship of Adapted Sports for Civil Protection and Fire Brigade Officers.

These competitions include: the XV World Championship of adapted sports for men and women, as well as the Junior World Championship of girls and boys in adapted sports.

In total, more than 600 people participated in the championship (24 countries) including about 400 athletes.

The ICDO was represented in this event by a delegation led by the Deputy Secretary General Andrey Kudinov and the Director of International Cooperation Saltanat Tashmatova.

On the sidelines of this event, a meeting was held with the Director of the Executive Committee of the International Federation of adapted Sports, Mr. Kalinin A.P. and agreements were reached to promote adapted sports in the national structures of civil protection, civil security and fire brigades of Member States.

A work plan has been agreed upon for the development of this discipline through a regional, national and international program.
