The Secretary-General of the International Civil Defence Organization (ICDO), Mr. Arguj Kalantarli, met with the Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), H.E. Mr. Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, on 1 February.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the current state and future prospects of bilateral cooperation, emphasizing the importance of close collaboration and joint initiatives with the GCC member states. Particular attention was given to enhancing practical cooperation in relevant fields, including the organization of joint initiatives, capacity-building programs, and specialized training courses in cooperation with relevant entities of the GCC member states.

The meeting also addressed a range of issues of mutual interest, including ICDO’s humanitarian activities and projects implemented within the framework of its humanitarian mandate.

Both sides reaffirmed their shared commitment to strengthening cooperation and expressed confidence that the partnership would continue to develop in a positive and mutually beneficial manner in the future.
