On 29 April, the Secretary-General of the International Civil Defence Organization (ICDO), Mr. Arguj Kalantarli, met with Mr. Claudio Gramenzi, Commander of the Civil Protection of the City of Geneva, Switzerland.

The meeting focused on matters of mutual interest, with particular emphasis on strengthening and further developing cooperation between the ICDO and the Civil Protection authorities of the City of Geneva. The parties discussed prospects for enhanced operational collaboration, including the potential implementation of joint humanitarian assistance initiatives.

In addition, both sides explored opportunities for organizing joint trainings and exercises aimed at reinforcing preparedness, operational efficiency, and the exchange of expertise.

The importance of deepening cooperation between the ICDO and partners in Switzerland, including national institutions and, in particular, the Civil Protection structures of the City of Geneva, was also underlined.

The meeting took place in a constructive and forward-looking atmosphere, during which other issues of mutual interest were also discussed.
