The ICDO Interim Secretary General Mr. Belkacem Elketroussi received H.E. Mr. Hussam Edin Aala, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Syrian Arab Republic to the United Nations Office at Geneva.

Following points were discussed between both the parties:

• to organize a visit to Syria as it will provide an access to and an understanding of conditions in the country with regards to civil defence structures
• to involve the Syrian Civil Defence in the training programs
