The International Civil Defense Organization (ICDO), headquartered in Geneva, together with the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, delivered 21 tons of humanitarian aid to the population of the Gaza Strip.

"The Russian aid was organized on behalf of the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, Alexander Kurenkov, in cooperation with the International Civil Defense Organization (ICDO). The Il-76  aircraft of the department delivered humanitarian freight and handed over to representatives of the Egyptian Red Crescent Society. Since November 16, humanitarian aid with a total weight of 20.5 tons has been delivered, which includes emergency lighting installations, generators, medicines, basic necessities and food," said Andrey Kudinov, Deputy Secretary General of the ICDO. In total, six flights of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations delivered 140 tons of humanitarian aid to El-Arish (Egypt).

At the same time, the ICDO and the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia are carrying out evacuation measures. At the moment, 297 citizens  of the Russian Federation have been evacuated, of which 168 people have already been transferred to Russia. In the coming days, the Il-76 aircraft of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia plans to evacuate 120 Russian citizens from Cairo Airport (Arab Republic of Egypt) to Domodedovo Airport.

According to N.A., a Russian-born Palestinian refugee, it was very difficult to survive the bombing without electricity, food and drinking water. "We survived only by canned food, drank dirty water, which was not always available. I am eternally grateful to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia and the International Civil Defense Organization for the fact that we were able to leave the Gaza Strip. On November 18, I will fly to Moscow, where I will stay," N.A. said.

In contact with colleagues from Israel and Egypt, with the assistance of the Russian Federation and Qatar, the evacuation of 43 Belarusian citizens and their family members from the Gaza Strip was also organized.
