From July 15 to July 26, 2024, the "Institute for Retraining and Professional Development" branch of the University of Civil Protection of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus hosted a training program for 12 representatives of the International Civil Defense Organization (ICDO) from 11 countries, including Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Russia, Serbia, Palestine, Iraq, Azerbaijan, Tunisia, Lebanon, and Sudan.
The advanced training program focused on the organization and execution of emergency rescue operations during incidents involving electric vehicles and similar transport. The training covered both theoretical aspects, such as the structural features of electric vehicles and the risks associated with high-voltage electrical systems, and practical skills in using modern rescue equipment.
Upon completing the training, the ICDO representatives praised the high level of professionalism demonstrated by the instructors and expressed confidence that the knowledge and skills acquired would be valuable in their future work in civil protection.
This educational project underscores the importance of international cooperation in civil defense and Belarus's willingness to share experience and best practices to enhance global safety.
