The Civil Defence Training City / Jordanian International Civil Protection Center has successfully concluded its Basic Firefighting Course, a foundational training program aimed at enhancing the skills and operational efficiency of firefighters.
The course began on 6 May 2026 and was held under the patronage of Colonel Ahmad Naimat, Commander of the Civil Defence Training City. Lieutenant Colonel Moawiyah Al-Daboubi, Director of the Jordanian International Civil Protection Center, emphasized the importance of continuous training in firefighting science and the use of modern methods to ensure safe and effective fire response.
The program introduced participants to the fundamentals of firefighting science, including fire chemistry, firefighting materials, fire dynamics, suppression methods, and the proper use of fire extinguishers. The course combined theoretical and practical sessions to strengthen professional preparedness.
A total of 20 trainees from Libya and 5 members of the Jordanian Civil Defence Department took part in the training, contributing to the exchange of experience and best practices.
The graduation ceremony was held on 21 May 2026 under the patronage of the Director of Operations and Training, marking the successful completion of the program and the preparation of newly qualified firefighters.
