ICDO Secretary-General Visits Emergency Management Service Facilities and Public Safety Management Center “112” in Georgia

As part of his official visit to Georgia, the Secretary-General of the International Civil Defence Organization (ICDO), Mr. Arguj Kalantarli, visited the base of the Main Division for Response to Special Situations of the Emergency Management Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia.

During the visit, a simulation demonstration exercise was organized, presenting the operational capabilities and response mechanisms of the Service in various emergency scenarios.

The exercise included demonstrations of urban firefighting operations, response to chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) incidents, casualty evacuation procedures, mountain and rope rescue operations, as well as other specialized rescue activities. An exhibition of firefighting and rescue equipment and specialized emergency response vehicles was also presented.

Within the framework of the visit, the Secretary-General also visited the Public Safety Management Center “112”, where he was introduced to the operational emergency coordination and dispatch system and received detailed information regarding the Center’s activities and capabilities.
