At the International Conference in November 2019 in Geneva, Arab and African countries expressed interest in the activities of the International Sports Federation of Firefighters and Rescuers, which undoubtedly has a positive effect on the general vector of development of fire and rescue sports in the international arena, being a promising direction in the professional training of emergency services specialists. The main goal of the World Championships is to promote and develop the sport of firefighters and rescuers in the name of saving human lives.

As a result of the joint work of the Executive Council of the International Sports Federation of Firefighters and Rescuers (ISFFR) with the International Civil Defense Organization (ICDO), the Sports Police Association of the State of Qatar joined the International Federation and became its full member. We hope that the entry of the Qatar Sports Association into the members of the International Sports Federation of Firefighters and Rescuers will serve to strengthen friendly ties between countries, exchange experience in the professional and sports training of emergency services specialists in extinguishing fires, eliminating accidents and disasters, and we will also see the team of the State of Qatar on the sports tracks of the world championships in fire and rescue sports.

We are confident that the State of Qatar will be the first country in the Middle East that will be able to adequately represent its country at the World Championships in fire and rescue sports.
