On the sidelines of the 5th session of the meeting of Directors General and Directors of Civil Protection of African countries members of the ICDO, which took place in Lomé (Togo) from September 28 to 30, 2021, the Secretary General of the ICDO, Mrs. Mariatou YAP met in turn the President of the National Assembly, the Prime Minister and the President of the Togolese Republic.

During the various exchanges with these Very Important Personalities, the Secretary General of the ICDO presented his strategic action plan for the development of the African continent in terms of disaster risk management, particularly in a context where the world is subject to disasters as violent as recurrent due to climate change aggravated by human actions on the environment.

This project was greatly welcomed and encouraged by the Togolese Head of State H.E Faure GNASSINGBE EYADEMA as well as the President of the National Assembly, Ms. YAWA DJIGBODI TSEGAN and the Prime Minister, Ms. Victoire TOMEGA DOGBE.
