Specialists of the fire and rescue departments of the member countries of the International Civil Defense Organization (Jordan, Kyrgyzstan, the Republics of Cameroon and Ghana) were trained at the St. Petersburg University of the State Fire Service of the EMERCOM of Russia from 21 March — 2 April 2022. This work is organized within the framework of the strategic partnership between the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia and the ICDO.

During the training program "Liquidation of emergencies at oil and gas facilities", the students got acquainted with the organization of the fire safety system at oil refineries. In addition to theoretical classes, practical classes were organized for foreign specialists using training facilities and simulators that imitate elements of oil refineries. They practiced firefighting and rescue skills in an unbreathable environment. “We highly appreciated the developed infrastructure and material and technical base of the university and the fire and rescue garrisons of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region, all this undoubtedly increases the efficiency of the educational process.
