On December 16, 2022, the headquarters agreement was signed between the Government of the Republic of Cameroon and the International Civil Defense Organization (ICDO) on the creation in Cameroon of an ICDO Regional Office for Africa .

The new ICDO Regional Office is positioned as the hinge that guarantees the optimal projection of the Organization in Africa and above all the efficient implementation of the projects to be carried out. It is to be hoped that the installation of the Regional Office will instill a positive dynamic in favor of the accession of other African countries, which are not yet members.

The Cameroonian Government welcomes the opening in Yaoundé of the ICDO Regional Office for Africa. This attests to the quality of the existing cooperation between the Organization and Cameroon.
